1. Which of the possible venues do you think would best suit this play? Why do you believe the dramatic action would be best served in this venue?

A small venues would be best for this play. With it having such a small cast and emphasizing the intimate feeling within the car, it would best be suited for a smaller theater. The play wants to make the audience feel awkward with its relationship between Peck and Lil Bit. This type of tension and feeling of wrongness is better conveyed in a smaller theater.

2. What are some of the design challenges posed by the play?

One of the major challenges would definitely be how to portray all the locations of the play. With multiple locations set throughout the play, it makes it difficult to design a set in a way complements the play and not overload it.

3. Choose the various chorus characters and discuss how you see them dressed. In what ways do you think the costumes you describe would help articulate their purpose in this play?

For the chorus character I see them all dressed in typical street clothes except all of their clothing is a dull grey color. This will help convey them as unhelpful and useless within the play. Plus it would allow the use of gels within the lighting to further change their appearance.

4. Provide some ideas about the use of light in the play?

I can see this being a darker lit set. Utilizing a light to overhead for Lil Bit's monologue. Also I would possibly use a red gel pointed inside the car for when Peck is fondling Lil Bit.

5. Suggest music and sound effects that could help accentuate the mood or atmosphere of the play.

I would definitely use some of the songs played in class to really help further the uncomfortable material of this play. It would also set the tone of the play if one of the songs were played right at the beginning of the play. Hopefully the message of the song can be said so that the audience has time to mentally prepare themselves for the rest of the content of this play.
